Humidifiers Male
Default Humidifiers

Hi all,

I'm looking for some info on humidifiers. Not the small domestic types, one that is suited for a medium sized greenhouse. My gas heater dries the air quite a bit and I'm trying to get a consistent level of humidity.
Any help will be much appreciated.

If you want to evaporate up to a couple of gallons per hour then an Aquafog 700 works well:

I started with an Aquafog but needed to evaporate more than a couple of gallons per hour so now I have a high pressure fog system something like these:
Fogging Systems - Patio Misting Systems, Mist Fans, Fog Systems: Aero Mist Outdoor Mist Systems, Outdoor Misting Kit

Marty our site owner sells the 'Mistking' system. This is not so much a standalone system, but misting nozzles with pumps and timers.

They can range from small terariam systems with one nozzle, to greenhouses of various sizes. He can help you work out the design to fit your greenhouse and what parts you would need.

I was looking into it myself (and still plan to get one eventually) and the prices are pretty good and affordable (at least for my 6' x 6' greenhouse. (My problem is that I've not yet got the layout of my greenhouse fixed and it's best to have a fixed layout).

I know of other members here who have systems from Marty and have been really pleased. I don't work for him and am not trying to particularly sell it to you... I was just impressed with what I looked at and the feedback from other members.

Anyway, this is the site for Mistking and I know he has various distributors. MistKing Misting Systems by Jungle Hobbies Ltd

I just finished making my own ultrasonic fog machine for my little 6x8 green house. If you are handy, here's how you can make one:

one 9 or 12 heads fogger $150 or $200 depending on which one you get
one Kent aquarium floatvalve $19.99
One 12vdc fan $19.99
One 15x20 plastic bucket $5 to $10
a few pieces of PVC elbow for $5

The total is about $250 and this machine can put out ~6500 ml per hour. It is almost 2g per hour. I have mine hook up to a humidistat so it can keep my GH at 70%. It only kick in for 10 mins max everytime.

Here are couple pics of the box:
