Thanks everyone for the compliments. I ended up putting a blue tarp over the far corner of the GH for my phals and bulbos. CTB, that is a tall pine and give me shade until about noon. In the winter, it doesn't shade too much due to the angle of the sun. I'll post some pics when I have some more stuff blooming. Let me know if anyone thinks of something that would be better or other suggestions. I'm still learning. Thanks again!!

The only criticism/suggestion/question I have has to do with the proximity of the trees to your plastic roof. What will happen in windy weather-summer or winter-when broken branches start flying? I would have put the fibreglass paneling on the roof and the roll plastic on the sides for this reason.
Many years ago DH and I built our first GH in Michigan. We could not afford fibreglass paneling at first so we had to cover the GH in roll plastic. We double insulated it. But it almost drove me crazy with anxiety the first winter when the winds made the plastic snap constantly. I was just waiting for the plastic to tear but it never did. We did not have trees close by but, still, getting the paneling was a big relief.

Two concerns:
-I couldn't tell from your photos if you made any provisions to tie the structure down. The least you should do is use auger-type tie-downs like those available from Farm-Tek. Probably wouldn't help in a hurricane, but you get enough high winds.
-What do you plan on using to cover the end walls? You need to provide bracing on each end to resist wind blowing on the sidewall. Without this, assuming the frame is tied down to the ground, a strong wind blowing against the side could flatten the greenhouse in place. Apentagram frame such as the photo shows has no rigidity. The rigid plastic you used on the sidewalls would provide a diaphragm to resist this force. The other choice would be to use cross bracing on both ends to create triangular rigid frames. (get a few friends to push against the vertical pipes perpendicular to the side walls and you'll get an idea of the forces at work)

I would agree about making sure it's firmly fixed down. My greenhouse was bolted down to a patio base, or it had options to set pegs in concrete to hold it down. You really don't want to loose your plants to a collapse in a strong wind.

where did you get the gravel and the outdoor fan?
the one i have isnt big enough for my growing space :/

Gravel came from stone plus on baymeadows rd. It's #98 in size I think. As for the fan...I bought it from lowes in the contractor dept. It's not made for the GH but I plan on buying a GH fan when this one goes out.

Thanks! I need to get on that! I found a fan on ebay so hopeeefullyy its exactly what my lil orchids need. I went to the meeting and i was absolutely delighted! I bought some of fred clarkes orchids and decided to join at the end of the night, im going to bring one or two from my collection for judging next time i cant wait!
