Hi Betty,
You won’t need much building knowledge for this.
We found a used carport frame on Criagslist. It originally had a plastic tarp attached with bungie cords. I replaced it with the shade cloth.
I did have to extend the height of the legs since my GH is fairly tall. I bought a piece of fencing toprail pipe to make leg extentions and used the metal fence slip connectors to attach them to the existing legs. Fortunately the pipe was the same size as the carport frame.
I’m very pleased with it. Nice shade without added heat.
My only problem, so far, is the wind. It tends to lift up a bit. I am going to have to find a way to anchor it better.
The hardest part was getting the frame.
