While I was gone for the weekend, DH got the frame almost done for the greenhouse. Now we can see what it will really look like. The glass isn't in yet, but it looks like it is if you don't look too close. Carol
WoW that is going to be a realy nice Gh ...I would be sitting out there just glowing with happy thoughts of how it will be when you have it filled up and can go out there to de-stress and soakk in the joy it will provide you with.
Whose tail is that I see disappearing,Carol? Jess Whippet says hello!
Nice work on the project. I had to shelve any thoughts about a greenhouse at the bottom of the garden because of lack of finances - money never goes as far as you think it will! I will get there one day - I am trying to make a new border at the moment, but whenever there is any progress it seems two steps forward, one step back.
That tail belongs to Bosco, the Airedale. It is usually wagging. He is a rascal. DH is doing the glazing this weekend. Woo hoo! Real glass in it. We are doing this before DH retires because it will be manageable financially this way. Special note to First Ray, the inspector said he had to sign off on the framing. The neighbor said it took him 30 seconds. Carol
There are some new pictures. Glass is in and caulked etc. Plumbing is partially done. DH did the electrical wiring. All has passed inspection so far. Now DH is nailing up the backer board for the tile. Have to select a color for that. All suggestions gladly listened to. Carol
For tile color, I would go with something that compliments the brick. Beige is always a good and safe color. You could always get some really bright crazy print tile also. It would light up the room when you walk in every time as well as compliment the green plants when not in bloom.
This is really a very nice green house/sun room.
I've been following it and your DH has done a fantastic job.
As for tile color, how about a white or biege subway tile with a color(ful) border? Or maybe glass tiles?
Keep the pictures coming and thanks!
