Thanks, Nenella, but the person who should be given credit for "Monday Mornings", is Jim Blanford. His Monday Morning blooms are just the "Cat's Meow"!!!!!

I love the pitures you posted. How do you get your phals to flower so early. I have a bunch of phals in my greenhouse that are all budded but probably wont see any flowers for another week or two.

Don't know your local growing conditions, but I grow in a greenhouse in Michigan. I begin my spike season in late September by keeping the temps down low at night 58 ~ 62F and daytime usually between 65 ~ 70F. And with all of this, I still have plenty in spike/bud but not open and won't open for several weeks... and I even have a few that didn't spike at all and they are all in the same greenhouse!!! So be patient and you will reap the rewards of your efforts.

Doc, What kind of light are you providing your phals? We have the same gh I think, and I am in Washington state so close to the same lighting. My phals just don't seem to thrive. I get great growth and give them about the same temps in the fall but alas, few spikes. Too much light? I can't believe that they don't get enough as I keep them on the bottom shelf below the catts. Any advice? I grow great catts but just no luck with phals.

I grow on Lonjg Island, ny. I cant get those night temps until early to mid oct and I don't see spike formation until late to mid Nov so that explains the later flowering for me. Thanks
