I was woundering if some of you could give me opinion on this greenhouse and what i want to do with it. I am thinking of buying this green house and i know it needs more for the winter time in the area i'm in so i was woundering if i put this greenhouse up and lined the inside with coragated fiberglass it should give it alot more strangth and beable to hold heat better. heres the link AZM 10' x 12' x 10-7/8' Greenhouse with 4 Vents - eBay (item 190365538570 end time Feb-14-10 22:38:52 PST)

hi, i have seen this same greenhouse advertised for a lot less at harbor freight company...i thot they ran about 8-900 bucks...other than that, i think if you lined the greenhouse with a bubble wrap fabric like a pool cover you would save a good bit on heating...you have to leave some gaps for ventilation, and you might experience a good bit of sweat or condensation....i am in north carolina, and we have had a rough winter so far, and my twin wall polycarbonate gh is doing well with propane heat...i have a solar pool cover over the roof only....hope this helps, and check with harbor freight before you commit....

EricST11 -

Nice looking greenhouse, but what is the thickness of the polycarbonate panels. 4mm, 6mm, 10mm?

If it's 4mm I wouldn't buy it. Yes, it's nice and big but 4mm panels are about 1/8" thick. Not much snow load ability. We have a greenhouse that is 10mm twin wall polycarbonate panels. We put a bubble wrap type insulation on the inside during the winter and grow tomatoes year round. We're in the mountains of Colorado. We use a 25,000 BTU gas heater and the tomatoes in January and February are wonderful.

The other thing is that it is so high. That's a lot more cubic feet of air to heat in the winter. Just a couple of thoughts for your consideration. Here's a pic.
