Question New humidifier in GH

Hi gang,
My spousal unit built me a fancy humidifier with a fan and some of that funky looking corrugate for the fan to blow through. It's been getting nasty hot (over 100F/40C), so this has been a really nice addition. It keeps the gh cool and my humidistat has been reading 50 in the hottest part of the day and up into the 60's when it cools off (this "cooling off" is relative, of course ). I have been in the habit of misting my plants as often as I could during the day and now, I am wondering if I should or how I would know when to mist or water? Any input? Thank you!

you have a talented and willing spousal unit....lol.... i use the aquafog 700 by jaybird company for humidity ....as far as misting goes, in my greenhouse i mist as infrequently as possible as long as the humidity is 55 percent or better....i dont know how large your space is, that would have something to do with how often you mist as well....hopefully with the humidifier running you wont have to mist much. automation is a wonderful thing!

My spousal unit suggested I buy myself a misting system for Fathers Day. Well, I bought the components from Ecologic and got the thing together and working today. Reduced temperature from 99+ F to less than 85 F and increased RH to ~98%. The 'chids seemed to love it.

I am in Ohio right now, so the temperature isn't so bad here. Talking with my spouse, I hear the temps are in the low 100's, but my gh is cool. I might move into my gh when I get back to Texas!
