Default So, I finally got a Greenhouse!

As though I didn't have enough places to grow my orchids, I decided that I must have a greenhouse. After years and years of exhausting research and lack of money to buy the best of the best, we settled on an Easy Grow 8' x 12' kit. It has two roof vents that automatically open when temps are too high and an exhaust vent in the lower right hand corner of the front panel. So far, it's been pretty easy to put together but then I've been supervising as my DH and brother have done all the work...I'm blonde, not stupid

Here are some pictures of what they have done thus far. Today we will be building a 3 course block wall that the structure will sit on top of (currently it's only 7.2' at the pitch of the roof...that just won't do, so we're elevating it!

Congrats on the new greenhouse! Elevating it is a great idea. I look at greenhouses all the time and think "man, that's just too short!"

On another note... what a nice big yard you have! Have fun with that greenhouse, I'm sure you wont have any problems finding things to fill it with

Yeah, filling it is not going to be a problem as all of the plants that are in our "winter grow room" are moving out to the greenhouse...'course the dogs think is just a big house for them!
