Change of plans again! We decided to forego the concrete block foundation and have opted for 6x6's. We are putting two 6x6's bolted on top of one another in a trench and then putting the greenhouse on top of that, then dig out the center of what will be the floor...it's coming along!

Welcome to the wonderful world of greenhouse growing - you will love it.
I hope those two men appreciated the superior supervising they received today.

Looks good...not trying to rain on your party....
I can't tell by the pictures but is that Pressure-treated lumber?
Pressure-treated wood is a "wood for all seasons"... a rugged exterior building product that's rot and insect resistant.
if you are using regular lumber you might want to change that now...!! wood that sits on the ground absorbs moister and then mildew builds up and rots in about a yr or 2
also if that's Pressure treated wood..
I wouldn't just set it on the ground...
use brick's just the cheap red building bricks would work and set your wood on top of that just to get it off the ground might cost you a little more right now but it will save you in the long run
other than that.. looks like things are progressing well

You Bet! I can't tell you how taxing the whole thing has been on me...when they finally realized that seeing things my way was really best for everyone concerned...
Seriously?, I sat in front of the computer putting the final touches on my website while the two of them busted their rumps on this...they did a great job and I promise you, I said very little (well you didn't really think I kept my mouth shut, did you? )

Thanx Carol, I can't wait!!!
Herf, yes it's pressure treated and around here, it really isn't necessary to put the lumber on a course of concrete block or brick because the soil isn't soil, it's sand....7 feet down and it's still sand!!! UGH!!! It drains very quickly....no mud
