Not been to Thailand, but spent a year in VietNam. Sort of know the climate, etc. I understand the things you have to deal with there. It's sometimes easy to say "wish I were there" but there are unique things to deal with, no? Nice setup, none-the-less.

Well actually, when i think about it, i'd rather be here than in the States or UK or any other cold country as far as growing orchids is concerned. All i really have to worry about is keeping the direct sun off the plants...... We all have to water plants..... I just do mine more often. For me, being able to read Thai language is my biggest problem (as i'm not Thai). Everything is available and i never need to worry about humidity and temperature....... As far as growing orchids is concerned, Things couldn't be easier.

 Well it started off as a garden as we had bare land and didn't know what to do with it..... Then it went to being a hobby...... Now it's a nursery.  It's about 200 square metres, and has a foodstall/restaurant in front of it. |

wow! I see a lot of vanda. Thailand is heaven for orchids. It's a challenge for us to grow Vanda here in taiwan due to low humidity. Would like to know what else do you grow in your nursery |

All of the orchids I have grown this year are minature, but they will grow into bigger orchids
I buy all my bulk orchids in flasks and grow them myself.
