Not on the heater, but I had 200 amp service installed just in case myself and it cost a bundle. Now I plan on a generator system. Have the generator, just need the wiring setup and that's like $900 alone. Heat's not my issue so much as making sure my furnace will run. Since I plan on indoors orchids.

Ranchnanny, I use an electric construction heater. it is a 220 and is attached to a thermostat. Runs well. i think they have them at Home Depot. They run about $190.00. It keeps my 8 X 13 house warm and toasty. It started snowing heavily again at 4 this am. "Ugh". Hope you are OK. Betty

FYI: When I expand my greenhouse I plan on having a natural gas line run from the house. There are some very nice natural gas (and propane) greenhouse heaters available and the venting is pretty simple.

Unfortunately, like you, I can't have a 220 line run to the greenhouse and I'm tired of the circuit breaking with the two oil radiators. Besides, electrical heat is soooooooo expensive!

Hey, my friends in the Pacific Northwest - Stop it! There is now a winter storm warning here, we're supposed to get about 9" (more) snow tonight , and temps are supposed to drop to around 5(F) . Please stop sending your storms down here.

Ross, sorry, but we really like to share. It warmed up this afternoon so keep the faith. Spring is coming sometime in the future. Betty

With the appointment set for the electrician to get the GH wired Friday morning I haven't done much after that. Well my husband has been bedridden for about 2 years with MS and he passed away Friday morning so things are up in the air for now.
