alot of orchids need a temperature change at night in order for them to flower my question is through once the orchid starts growing a spike does it still need a big temperature drop at night
Can't give you an absolute scientific answer, but logic would say that once the spike starts, it will grow and flower and the plant should be grown at a more 'normal' temp. Having said that, you have to be careful of temperature swings and cool drafts as the buds are developing because this can cause them to blast.....
