Well, no they aren't. They are much taller than wide. The usual nursery stock comes in a thin corrugated container that is almost as wide as it is tall. These containers hold maybe 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 cups. For comparison, the pot on the left is a standard 4 1/2" plastic pot. The pot on the right has the same width arcoss the top but is about 2" taller. And thanks CB...you are right about Dorothy....she's a real go-getter on this forum...and I know we are all thankful for that!

By the way Doc, I contacted the maufacturer of the Paph pots I use (the black ones) to see if they could make some clear ones in various sizes and they never called me back. Must not be interested. Here is the only sourche I have found and these are all dark colored: Band Pot 3 5/8 x 6 The manufacturer is Anderson Die and Manufacturing Co.
