Misting system recommendations?

Aloha,

We are building an open-air orchid house on the north side of our house. It will have open sides for airflow and a lattice roof to allow the orchids to enjoy the rain. It will measure 8 feet by 20 feet. We live at about 750-foot elevation in Hilo, HI.

The house is likely to contain Vandas, Zygos, Dens, and Catts.

We are thinking about adding a misting system for sunny days. The misting system would be turned on manually from the hose bib as needed. We don't want a pump or anything that needs electricity.

I wondering about any recommendations for home misting systems that would work in our orchid house.

I'm SOOOO jealous.

OK. What is the purpose of "misting"? If you will be doing that for watering, you could probably get away with lawn watering devices, but if you might want to take a look at dripdepot.com.

In my greenhouse, I used rain type microsprinklers mounted in overhead PVC pipe. I used a solenoid valve connected to remote control, but manual is no issue either.
