I was given this dendrobium by a neighbor. She had it out on her patio in northern Virginia. The plant is the ugliest of all that I have, 8 leafless canes and only three leaves on one of the remaining two, the other has the grand total of five. When she gave it to me she asked, You know not to cut off the canes, even though they have no leaves? To which, I said, Yes.

One of the canes with leaves bloomed for me about three moths after I got it. And NOW, here is a bloom stalk on one of the bare canes.
