This is the same orchid as previously shown, I am hoping this leaf damage is simply from handling/shipping and not actually a real issue. I wasn't able to find anything online that might enlighten me further, so time will tell I guess?

THis is a long shot, but were you able to find out the ailment and keep it alive? I have something similar happening to quite a few of mine.
