My pride and joy. Received three years ago, has bloomed four times, starting a new spike now, and a baby in the back. This was her last blooming, there were 28 blooms. Roots look like a snake pit down in the humidifying area of the pot, and now, August, there are big fat roots going straight up.

Wow! That is spectacular! Do you have a name for this Phal, or is it a NOID? How big are the flowers?
My first orchid was a white phal from Fred Meyers, which I've dubbed my Great White NOID. It has never produced more than 5 or 6 blooms at a time, although the first year it was still recovering from store "care" and then I moved it (stupid me) and the remaining buds aborted. Last year I'm not sure why the spike didn't continue to develop. Although the blooms are huge (between 5 and 6 inches) so maybe it just can't support more flowers.
