Dendrobium atroviolaceum with keiki

Finally found a big wishlist orchid of mine, Dendrobium atroviolaceum 😍 I’m so happy to finally see those alien blooms in person!

And what’s more? She had keikis with roots growing from the top of an almost dead cane! I did not know Latouria Dens could make keikis. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m over the moon that now I have 2 orchids for the price of one 😊

Atroviolaceum hybrids will make keikis this way also. It is pretty common in my experience. Love the atroviolaceum spots!

I can see why! Yours is amazing! Wonderful job 😊 so many bloooms. I hope to grow mine as well as you have! Did it adapt well to semi-hydro? I have some Phals in semi-hydro, but am afraid to try others.
