Den rosy cluster (farmeri x amabile)
bought this plant as a bareroot at the redlands orchid festival May 2018, so no blooming credit, however I take credit for just leaving the flowers on til I took a couple of pics and the immediately removing all blooms. As the plant is still developing a root system, I though it would be better to remove the load of flowers and let the plant get settled with new roots. I kind of shy away from dendrobium hybrids, but this was a special one as I have grown both its parents. Farmeri (pink) and amabile (also pink) are the parents for this cross. The pink farmeri made the trip north with me and was recently divided, the amabile went to someone else. I will get another amabile and then post a picture of both parents with their offspring blooming at same time. BTW plant is a net pot with coco fiber and large chunks of coconut husk.
