NJOS Dendrobium concern

My daughter went with me to the New Jersey Orchid Society plant show this past Jan. & purchased this lovely bud plentiful dendro with beautiful peach flowers when opened.
She's been very careful with watering with no more than once a week if needed. She has been giving it good lighting also.
However we are now concerned with this lower leave discoloration discovered today?

You have a Section Latouria hybrid, one of the many made with D. abberans. The loss of the lower leaf is absolutely normal. It has done its job and making way for newer leaves on new pseudobulbs. No new leaves will grow from this bulb. Once it yellows and shrivels completely, which may take a year!, then cut it back to the base and dust the cut with cinnamon (against fungi).

This group of Dendrobium like room temps and should be kept slightly moist at all times. During the growth season, which starts in the Spring, more water and fertilize every other watering. Mine have proved sensitive to summer sun, so be carefull in sunny windows. It may need to move away from the glass. These new hybrids are a real joy, once you get the hang of them.

I think that's Den. Nano Chip. Super easy and super popular. I see it everywhere.

Environmental change combined with it being on an older pseudobulb could be the cause. Maybe it got a little water in it and got too cool before it dried. The other leaf on the bulb might fall off too, but it really shouldn’t be anything to worry about as long as the other ones on the plant look good. I would just let it fall off, and make sure it’s getting enough water, light, and air movement. Not sure how long this little guy is taking to dry out but like mentioned above, they do like water. If Latouria types are grown too dry they will start out with a little dry tip on the end of a leaf, then it will usually turn black, then get yellow farther down, then it will get crispy, and eventually it will fall off (see pic of my Den. macrophyllum that seems to like even more water than all of my other Latouria types.. oops).
