Welcome to the forum!
That is not a Dendrobium, rather an Epidendrum radicans group, often referred to as a reed Epidendrum, due to its growth habit. Most available are hybrids with the species E. radicans, which is a strong scarlet red, like yours. They are commonly grown is tropical and semi-tropical areas, such as Southern California, Florida, Mediterranian coast, etc. Love sum, will tolerate shade and seem to bloom forever. Great beginner orchid. Enjoy.
