Thank you Sonya. I have never seen a Den flower with just 3 petals and a strange looking lip

"Peloric" refers to a flower that is supposed to have bilateral symmetry, but instead develops radial symmetry.

Most orchids have three sepals outside three petals. One of the petals is modified to form the lip, and is normally very different from the other two petals. The two sides of an orchid flower are mirror images of each other, with just one lip in the middle.

In peloric flowers the other two petals become more like the lip, and the flower becomes more like a daisy, looking the same no matter which way you rotate it on the central axis.

There probably aren't many peloric Den phals with this coloring, so you might be able to track down the name of this one if you contact the grower.

I don't know who the vendor is. It just had a tag with these written words:

D.Thongoh-D. Splash.

I googled those words but didn't really come up with anything. I Believe that the word Thongoh has more letters to it

I might guess it is Dendrobium Thongchai Gold 'Splash'. I didn't dig into the ancestery. From appearance, I would guess it does have Dendrobium phalaenopsis ancestry, but I strongly suspect it also has ancestors in the antennatum or latouria groups of Dendrobium, as well.

What that means to a grower is to water it regularly all year, but a little less when it's cool. Try not to let it be wet for long if you have a dark, cold period of winter weather. Keep it warm all year. Give it bright light.
