This is one of those where beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The flowers are very fragrant. I have this plant growing with the rest of my dendrobiums under 50% shade cloth.

I'm a small backyard grower in a residential area overlooking Pearl Harbor. I barely have enough yard space to keep my orchids happy. Most of the photographs that I post on this Board are of plants that I raised and bloomed. My best friends are orchid people.
This is a selfing of the yellow form of Den. spectabile. I prefer this color over the standard form.
Nice to know. I have a seedling, also a selfing, which needs about another 18 months to blooming. Also compact grower and mine seems to branch well on the rhizome. O agree, the clear colour in this quirrelly form is truly stunning. All the pattern of the non-flavas makes for a real muddle, visusally.
