First bloom. A lonely bachelor(ette?).

Started to bud a bit after I moved it from a shaded place to a moderately bright windowsill. Not at all blue, but a rich violet nonetheless.

Some vendors mention that high light levels / low temp can alter the color to a more blue-ish violet? Sadly I don't have an environment like that in the midst of summer in the deep south...

Nice! You heard correct, lower temps during the bud formation increases the blue component. The anthocyanin pigments increases in blue-ness at about 15°C/65°F. Has to do with how the sugar molecules hang onto the pigment.
