Default D parishii flowers

OK, my mounted D Parishii flowered a while back, super, great, and then the flowers from the bottom of the mount opened, and they are completely different. Top flowers are light pink with the lip pale, and the bottom flowers have a different shaped lip with a very dark band.

Is this just something they do?

Has the temperature changed substantially, day or night?

Well, the weather had been around 40, but it only peaked and dropped after the second batch were opening.

Beats the crap outta me.

Temperature differences can cause pigmentation differences.

Oh, it's way beyond that.

Here's some pics of the whole plant, and the flowers from different orientations.

The light flowers are at the top of the plant and the later ones with the more cylindrical, dark banded lip are at the bottom.
