Default Den. aphanochilum---anybody know about it?

I acquired this little guy last night at my OS meeting, but I'm not finding much information about it. Baker and Baker does not include this species, and the other information I've found is pretty limited. Does anyone grow this or have knowledge about culture, particularly winter treatment?

Apparently it blooms on bare canes after leaves drop. Does this mean a cold, dry rest?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the rotated picture. I can't seem to change that.

I found this : Hortus orchis - Dendrobium aphanochilum
which includes a rain chart showing greatly reduced precipitation Nov - March.

Hopefully there may be some members who grow this and can be of more help.

That looks like something that would do well in a house whose occupants like year-round cool temperatures, if the humidity can be kept up.

I have an "indoor greenhouse" with high humidity--that's where this one will stay. We'll see if it likes more-or-less human temperatures.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Voyager, you are lucky to have the actual Baker and Baker book! I subscribe to the on-line culture sheets, but for some reason it is not listed there. Thank you for copying it for me.

IOSPE PHOTOS
As with most Calcarifera Dendros, a cool, slightly dry rest in Winter is best. They tend to bloom twice a year, Spring and Autumn. They can get large and gangly, which makes mounting a top option, although I use pot cultue for most and tie-up the canes.

Thanks, Regelian. I too will be using a pot for this, at least for the near future. I am not set up for watering mounts.
