Dendrobium anosmum
It's the beginning of the blooming season for my Dendrobium anosmums. This popular specie is called Honohono in Hawaii. I'm waiting for the two plants pictured below to bloom. It has been picked out from the others in my collection because of the number of buds at each node. Some nodes have 1 or 2 buds but many of the nodes have 3 buds which is a very good trait. Once in awhile I might see a plant with 4 buds at each node. The more buds you get the fuller the flower stem will appear when the buds open. The top photo is Den. anosmum 'Purple Pride' and the bottom photo is Den. anosmum 'A Touch of Class'.

The buds have opened and here are the results. The top photo is Den. anosmum 'Purple Pride' which is very fragrant. The bottom photos show Den. anosmum 'A Touch of Class'. Both varieties are very sought after in Hawaii.

Mine are also blooming. Not as good as yours though! But the fragrance is lovely.

Wow that’s impressive! Now if mine turns out like that, I’d be a happy camper.
