I've only had this one a month, but I've bought a number of others over the past 2 years. Fred Clarke is actively hybridizing these Dens descended from Australians species.
They like bright light, warm temperatures, and regular watering and fertilizing when in growth - which is all year for me. I let them get completely dry between waterings, as Fred advises, especially in the cooler winter.
I think for people with cooler winters, they are primarily warm-season growers, with cooler and dryer winters. But my sunroom is quite warm, so I get growth all year. The ones big enough to flower do so.
I think a lot of them can probably take very low winter night temperatures, since many have D. speciosum and D. kingianum in their backgrounds. I suspect some could take a little frost, but I'm not going to find out. I've kept them in my sunroom during the winters.
