Default Den. Easter Parade

so, in my quest for bargains....I purchased some Cirr. Elizabeth Ann Buckleberry plants a month or so ago, and the man was closing out his greenhouse (so sad) and he tossed in the remainders left....and I got a very full net pot of den. easter parade....

I am not familiar with this one, and I cant google much up, except a bloom picture...it seems it comes in white and pink, I don't know what I have....

also, is this a den that is in the nobile branch? it doesn't look like it, nor does it look like the phal type of den...so, can anyone help me out? does it like a dry winter or spring....what do I do with this one?

as I repotted it, it fell into two, so I potted them separately in large bark mix, in net pots....any help is appreciated!

Search the Orchid Registry

D. Easter Parade = D. Mini Pearl x D. xdelicatum (which they list as speciokingianum for some reason. xdelicatum is a well-recognized natural hybrid between D. kingianum and D. speciosum.)

D. Mini Pearl = Dendrobium canaliculatum x Dendrobium bigibbum

So all the parents are Australian Dendrobiums. Mini Pearl's parents are warm all year. bigibbum can have a dry winter or get some rain. xdelicatum's parents get very cool and dry winters. It is probably not hard to keep your plant alive whether you keep it warm or cool in the winter, and water or not. I don't know what it needs to be assured of blooming.

I saw while searching that a lot of people in southern California have awards on it, so I suspect it likes California winters - cool but not freezing, mostly very sunny. If they grow it outdoors it gets cool rain.

oh thank you! I had seen the awarding, but I didn't think about it being in so cal....

I sort of got out of my 'comfort zone', I don't grown dens very much other than the phal type....I appreciate your insight!
