I bought a tiny Dendrobium lindleyi seedling in January and pretty much forgot about it. Then I noticed some weird growth which turned out to be flower spikes and now after several weeks it finally bloomed!
I think it will look fantastic in a couple of years.
They are usually spring bloomers, so therefore it is the correct time in the southern hemisphere.
I grow mine on the dry side in the winter and let it have a cool period. This tends to induce flower by spring.
What a lovely plant you have and I agree, great mount too!
