Linda, blooms of some plants emit fragrance all days round but this one, is only fragrant when it is sunny. The odor is not easy to described, but much like that of Den. superbum and also somewhat like almond.
Culture for the plant is the same for Den. nobile or other soft-cane dendrobiums. Strong sunlight and a dry period in winter are needed to bloom it.

Pheli, is yours an upright grower or pendulous? My anosmum (superbum) is pendulous. I'n not sure I'd call these soft cane. I thought soft cane Dendros were phal types (no dormancy).
