Dendrobium strebloceras
I got this plant several weeks ago and the name Dendrobium strebloceras was given. It looks somewhat different from the photos i have found. There are similar cross or hybrids.

Hi you might like to verify with someone re the name of this particular plant.
Orchid Wiz shows this plant as being more white and green so I am puzzled by the brown example you have presented us.
Orchid Wiz also provides this info: ORIGIN/HABITAT: The origin of this species is uncertain. The type specimen is listed only as coming from the Moluccas, and some writers feel it was probably found on Halmahera Island. However, others suggest it may have originated on Seram. Because specific habitat location and elevation are not known, the following climate data should be used with extreme caution. -- Source: Charles Baker Still looks a very nice plant well done

Regardless, love the color!

A quick look-up suggests that Dendrobium tangerinum could be correct, or at least could be in the parentage if this turns out to be a hybrid. Like many other orchids, an ID by photo is not necessarily correct.

Just saw this, and was about to say it looks just like my tangerinum. Looks like you already found that though!
my tangerinum has stayed smaller than most of the antelopes species or hybrids I've owned, if that helps. Excepting the canaliculatum and its hybrids, the tangerinum is maybe a bit smaller than the (tipo) antennatum.

Tangerinum used to be considered as a variety of strebloceras, so some of the old hybrids using strebloceras probably actually using tangerinum. Probably the nursery or the person you getting it from haven't updated the label

Thanks all. Now, it is more like Den. tangerinum but i am uncertain that if it is a pure species or a hybrid.

Whatever it is, it's awesome. Totally wild.
