I believe it is a nobile type. I've had one for a little over a year, given it and east window in my bathroom and regular light feedings with MSU. It just dropped all its leaves over the last 2 -3 weeks. I thought I killed it some how but this morning noticed that it is putting out new buds along the canes at each leaf axil...classic nobile growth.

Cheers.
Jim

Nobiles bloom up and down the stem, not from the apex.

Right. I don't recall from the thread anyone mentioning the apex.

Here's a flower from 'Pegasus'

In the photo Frank posted of the plant (1st photo of the two) it looks as if there are some spent bloom spikes from the apex on three of the canes.... maybe that is what was being referred to??

It has only flowered from the apex.

Well I stand corrected on whether or not 'Pegasus' is a nobile type. All the leaf axil shoots have begun developing roots. So what I thought were flower buds are now keikis. Apparently, I somehow seriously stressed my plant.

Sorry for the misinformation.

Cheers.
Jim

The keikis have developed roots a couple of mm long (about 1/8 - 1/4 inch) on the canes.

I want to remove a couple and try this plant as semi-hydro. Having never done this before, what's the best way to remove some keikis and how long should I let the roots develop befoore I start removing them?

Thanks.

Cheers.
Jim
