Dendromium loddigessi
Picked up this little guy in the fall, managed to give it the right kind of winter rest and I even got a bloom! Sadly I started with the fertilizer a little too early coming out of rest and most of my other potential buds turned into kikkis.

Good 4 u! Dens give me heartburn however my limited experience with them is starting to show off. Loddigessi has 2 buds, jenkinseii has a few and cucumerinum hasn't keeled over. Two others are testing my patience so I obviously STILL don't know what I'm doing! Rock on!

Nice flower, did you cut out all fertilizer for the rest. How about water?

During the rest I completely cut fertilizers and plan to not fertilize again until the blooms are open. During the rest I move the plant to a cool sunny corner in my green house and only water it about once a month, and do my best to just ignore it

You had some success and learned from the experience, and it never hurts to have some keikis for spare plants in case there is a disaster or to trade later. All good...

I also have one of these, but in spite of it growing well vegetativly, it has not yet bloomed in the 3 years I've had it. I'm wondering if I keep it too cool (40sF at night in fall and winter). And, no one could ever accuse me of over fertilizing. I'm kind of stingy with fertilizer.
Anyone got ideas on what would kick D. loddgesii into flowering gear?
Thanks for your help!

A lot of these deciduous Dendrobiums grow as understory plants in deciduous forests. During the winter they get a lot more light than during the warm, wet summer. I have always read to try and give the deciduous Dendrobiums as much light as possible during the winter.
