Dendrobium aggregatum
This is a mesmerizing plant. I have 3 separate plants attached to this weird structure, a coconut shell morphed into a 8" teak basket then chopped up a bit to give it a downward slope and more room for roots. The fleeting flowers are a beautiful golden yellow, they last just 5 or 6 days; I love that they dance in the air and have a faint smell of honey.

Great growing! Does this plant spend the winter outdoors? How is it watered/temperatured in the winter? When do you fertilizer it? Thanks!

Thank you. Here in Miami it's grown outdoors with a little benign neglect. It seems to do well with very bright light all winter then lower shaded light during the summer when it makes new growths. It seems to tolerate temp extremes well, 48-95F. One of the myths about this species is that it needs to be dried out in winter.

Beautiful...really, really beautiful! I'm hoping I'll see blooms on mine this year but it's not looking good.
Thanks for the culture info too.

Thanks for the nice comments. They don't last long but if this is true to form, it will bloom again in a few weeks then again in June with fewer and fewer flowers, though one year it was the second blooming that was the biggest. Oddly, the separate plants bloomed out of sync with each other the first 2 or 3 years. Since then they've synchronized and all three plants open within 24 hours of each other. I think they communicate with each other, for some value of 'communication'!
