Connie Star, I reckon that you don't get cool enough. Rather than commit orchidicide, you might try trading or donating them. Dendrobium nobile types sure do thrive in parts of Brazil.

It's in a Dillen 6" eurobasket with pumice. That's how I bought it a few years ago from the Huntington. The basket's drainage holes are around a half inch above the bottom of the basket so there's some semi-hydroponic action going on.

I water it once or twice a week at night during summer. When it gets cooler I water less frequently and earlier in the day. Last week I gave it some slow release fertilizer for the first time.

It receives fairly bright light and some direct morning sun in the winter.

It's definitely done a lot better than the other two aphyllums that I stuck on my tree.

I think I have to move mine from a wooden plaque to a pot with some loose bark and or sphagnum. I think it is not getting enough water.

Mine flowers, but not like yours. I'd like for it to bloom profusely like yours!
