Few days ago I bought this plant as a special bargain from a local flower shop who was selling this as Den. kingianum. However, as you can see, its sepals are too long, and it is also missing markings on its lip, so it definitely is a hybrid.
Unfortunately the seller has no idea of its correct ID (This is a rather common in S. Korea...many flower shops do not correctly ID their plants! Quite frustrating sometimes...esp when dealing with orchids) so I won't probably know its exact heritage. However, the scent is very sweet, and the vivid purple color is so wonderful that I grabbed it without hesitation. Haha.
By the way, the purple color is so deep that the camera of my phone keeps mistaking it as a purplish blue. Gah.
