Default Den. Super Ise in bloom

This is my most successful nobile type Dendrobium. The rest hardly bloom. I got this as a division from a friend a couple years ago and it gets better every year. It gets the same treatment as the others. A cool fairly dry winter with fairly good light. I cut out the ferts at the end of Aug. Once I saw buds I watered more regularly and gave a bit of plant food.

I actually just saw a photo of a Super Ise for the first time yesterday and fell in love. It is on my wish list just waiting for warm weather so I can order it.

I've never done these calculations before, so it was an interesting exercise. It's also interesting to see which species were esteemed by early hybridizers.

Heritage data from RHS, calculations by me. For each hybrid percentages do add up to 100.

I usually look things up, but I like to know how to set up and solve problems myself.
