This one looks fantastic.
There are some great looking Den. Roy Tokunaga crosses out there now. The spotting effect comes from the Den. atroviolaceum used in the cross.
This photo attached is of my Den Roy Tokunaga which was judged champion of a local spring show. The blooms lasted nearly 5 months but as yet this past year it has only shown signs of cane growth, no flower spikes so I wonder, does this cross only flower every second year?
AJW, mine has bloomed each year for the last 3. Not really sure of the trigger! I water it regularly as it dries out. It is in natural light, maybe the reduction in daylight hours is the cause? Always seem to bloom in the fall/early winter for me.
