In many vendors photos, this dendrobium are shown with greenish petals so I was pretty surprised to find this one at a fair. Regardless, I actually didn't go for it because the plant is probably the worst of the bunch. The flower stalk heavily arched so the flower actually formed in pendant instead of expected erect stalk we usually associate with this type of dendrobium, The cane is thin, drooping, basically it's everything we were told to avoid when buying a plant. So I ended up buying its healthier bench mate.
I guessed everyone else thought the same thing because until the end of the fair a couple of weeks later, the plant was not taken. When the fair were closing, the vendor actually selling it for a fraction of its original price. I saw what left on the bench, and realised that the most beautiful flowers are actually belong to the worst plants. I looked at the root system and it seemed alright, so I brought it home.
The other one is about to bloom as well so I'll compare it later
