Dendrobium Dawn Maree
This is a plant that I obtained several years ago from H&R Nurseries in Waimanalo. I had several plants of this cross but retained this one for the dark reddish orange color in the lip. The tallest stalk on the plant is almost three feet tall. The challenge is to bloom the plant so the flowers cover the stalk from top to near the bottom. I have not come close to doing that.

I'm a small backyard grower in a residential area overlooking Pearl Harbor. I barely have enough yard space to keep my orchids happy. Most of the photographs that I post on this Board are of plants that I raised and bloomed. My best friends are orchid people.

Great job, very pretty. It looks very similar to my Den Green Lantern although the orange lip is quite a bit bigger.

Thank you for your comments. You now have me curious about Green Lantern. It's on H&R Nurseries' price list so I plan to pick up a plant or two. |
