Dendrobium Gatton Sunray
This is an old timer that was commonly found in many backyard collections. Not too many are around today probably because the plant can grow very tall; 5 feet or more. The plant that I have blooming is 31 inches tall. It is growing in a 5-inch plastic pot with bark as the media.

You are so right about its being tall at 5 ft. Wow its one I would have to leave out because of space. But its pretty. Thanks for sharing this one with us all.

Nice but that will have to be left to greenhouse or outside growers.

One Week Later
The 12 flowers on the Gatton Sunray reached their maturity on July 17, a week after the plant was initially photographed and posted on this thread. The plant was displayed at the Ewa Orchid Show over the weekend (July 17-19) and was selected by AOS Judges as the best yellow dendrobium in the Show. The waxy and firm flowers have a horizontal spread of 4 inches.
