Dand. Nora Tokunaga ( atrovilaceum pygmy X rhodostrictum) Got this last august in bloom. Blooms lasted 3 months and it has 2 spikes on it right now about an inch long. 1 new growth is just maturing and will also probably spike, another growth started in mid december. These guys don't slow down for nothin....
Here's a pic from september07
Gill, the one thing that is different from the standard warm/intermediate growing Dendrobium is never let it get completely dry, just slightly reduce watering in winter. For detailed information consult, Orchid Species Cultures, Orchid Culture - Charles and Margaret Baker
I have found this site to be most helpful, with detailed information on all orchid species. The cost is very modest, and I think they may send you the first sheet free.
You have a warm growing Den. These don't need any cool down or resting period. Mine grow thru-out the year, lots of grow during the warmer months, then you will need to water and fertilze more because of peak season.
Give this one LOTS of light and good draining media.
Enjoy your orchid!
