Like a den-phal? I water mine fairly normally in winter , just allowing them to become dry in-between watering, but I only have two, so I'm far from the expert. Hopefully others will chime in.

I brought my den phal indoors during winter, so I water as usual, still allowing for some drying time before next watering. When outdoors already in my growcamp, I usually also check what the temps are, if it is warmer or really goes hotter, a bit more, but allow to dry. If it is cooler, longer intervals.
Now I have another type, a latouria type den, this one easily adapted to my indoor environment, so I grow and water it like I do my Phals. This one enjoys comfortable warm temps, so I get to water this at least every 5 to 7 days.
Pretty much, watch the temps you have there, when you water. If it is in the 60F to 65F range, I would give a bit more interval in watering.

i planted it into a stone only medium and have been watering once a week for months now,no flowers yet but he has put out new growth so i think he is doing fine.with the warmer weather here i was toying with moving the plants outside but i think if it aint broke dont fix it.might just let them get some rain if it falls in my watering period.

My latourias love to be kept wet while in growth. They go drier when winter comes along. So in growth, maybe twice/three times a week depending on temperature and how fast your pot dries, and once a week or less in the cooler months. My rule of thumb of for all my 'chids is increased moisture in growth, less out of growth.

Potted in stone, I would think that once a week = not enough water.
For Den Phalaenopsis types, I barely let them get dry.
In growing season, all my Aussie Dendrobiums are watered heavily twice a week.

dendrobium watering
That is the hard thing about watering orchids in pots - it takes a lot of observation of the plant to figure out if you're doing it right. I'm still strugling with watering frequency too. I know nothing about dens in pots - i had all of my dens attached to trees and watered them daily when not raining. And they didn't seem to care - actually that thing grew like crazy and is still attached to the tree forming an enormous bunch! I think she loved the spot.
