keikeis can reduce flowering...I generally remove them while quite small to reduce the starin on the plant, however, as my plant was quite old and starting to go downhill, I decided to let them mature the keikeis to get more plants. I also divided the parent, keeping the outer fresher portions.
I water the mounted plants daily except in the fall when they are cooled (10-12 C)and only sprayed once every 2 weeks or so, until the spikes reach about a centimeter, then I warm them (still below 18 C) and resume daily watering. They typically bloom from mid-Jan to late Feb.
