Default Dendrobium hancockii

This species needed cool nights to bloom and I thought it would be impossible. But it surprised me with flowers out of the blue! Initially I grew it for the bamboo like leaves, so miniature, graceful and calming.

Culture: intermediate, medium to high light, wet in summer, dry and cool in winter.

First time I have seen this species. Quite an interesting look. How tall are the plants?

Thanks all. My plant is 15 inches tall but I have seen them almost 4 feet tall! I keep it small by trimming off the terminal apex leaves. Like a bonsai lol

They look sort of like bamboo, or that's at least what I'm reminded of looking at your plant.

Lol I'm just kidding. Man is their greatest enemy as they are used for horticultural trade as well as medicine.
