Question to the european OB members...

Hi all,

Does anyone of you know a nursery in Europe selling Dendrobium Nobile Hybrids? Recently, I bought a Dendrobium Nobile 'Winter Sparkle' at the super market, and a friend of mine loves it above all!! She will have her birthday soon, and I would love to give her a similar plant, but I have not been able to find any european vendor selling them...
and I do not mean Dendrobium nobile but the Nobile Type Hybrids like those from: Yamamoto Dendrobiums Hawaii

It would be great fnding them in europe, and a reasonable price: I found Easy Orchids - UK Orchid Growing and Orchid Sales in UK, but 35€ alone for the shipping is just too much

I'm going through all my favorite bookmarked vendors trying to see if any have them. I did find a vendor in france that's very good with decent shipping prices, but they ship to all of Europe EXCEPT Switzerland!! Maybe it's because you don't use €...
I thought I could look at all the vendors quickly...but I'm getting sidetracked by all the orchids I want!! I'll let you know if I find any other places that have them. Have you tried checking garden centers near you?

However, if you're interested in satisfying your own orchid cravings , I highly recommend Nardotto e Capello in Italy. I came across them on a french orchid forum, and everyone that had ordered from them is more than happy. Their plants are extremely nice and very high quality, cheap (10-20€ for NBS or BS) and they have a huge selection (close to 500 botanical orchids and another 100-200 hybrids) Shipping is decent too, about 27€ to Switzerland for 5kg of plants!

Hi Camille, I would not mind getting the plants shipped to France or DE. I live in Basel, and is just at the border, and have many friends on both sides - actually, they are the ones who normally receive the plants for me (that way I do not need to pay the phytosanitary permit, which is required only for post shipping, but if you bring your plants by your own over the border). So, if you know any nursery with them in France PLIIIIISSSSSSS
