This is one where the reward is to get it to bloom and not necessarily the blooms themselves ! It appears to be very hardy too as it has gone without watering with no apparent ill effects.

nice, does yours have two ridges on the throat of the lip? A little bit of updated info. I talked to Tin of LOC about the difference when I met him at Redland 2016. Their plant is originated from more newly discovered Taiwan population, instead of the original description from Okinawa. So this could be the variation within species.

Mine has been sporadically flowering, and the canes are > 2ft long now. I neglected to repot, and it wasn't doing so well. It was tough to remove from the pot. Hopefully, it will do better now after repotting.
