Seems you and I have similar taste in orchids...I got this one last spring too. I loved it the minute I saw it. Awesome job growing yours...it's beautiful.
I wasn't as concerned about the light as I was the balancing act of reduced water...not too much but not dry either. Luckily, it's in bud.
BTW - I really like your mount "tree". What a great idea!

I love this species and it's in wishlist. Good job NC2014!! I also love the shape of the pseudobulbs: it's a very particular plant.
Does it smell?

Lovely! How big is the plant?
Looks like one with a definite dormancy, yes?

Thanks Ula and Katrina! I grow it mounted on cork, with NZ moss around roots, attached to a giant Florida tree moss ball. It's sprayed daily in summer, lightly sprayed on sunny winter days. Foliar fed once a month while growing.
A few others are attached to the moss ball; Dendrobium rigidum, Dendrobium cucumerianum, Isabella puchellum, and a large Tilandisia on the top...
Yes Katrina, we do have same taste in many plants! Totally awesome! Cheers!

There is a light fragrance in daytime, like a hyacinth. And yes the bulbs are bead like, sbrofio. You should get one!!
The plant is about 1 foot long, and a reduce watering induces the bloom. You should try one too Paul...

Awesome mount!!! I love the orchid too.
A man, what a great growing space, you must get lots of light.

Thanks Tindomul... The mount is my centrepiece. It's been growing that moss for over 15 years! I have a large south and west side in my loft for my plants!!!
