Dendrobium Mountain Magic #4
Knocked the plant over and out of it's tiny 2" pot trying to get a better angle on the flower. Oops. Lucky for me, no damage this time.
This one is cuthbertsonii x pseudoglomeratum.

Thanks, Ordphien, Tindomul, Sonya! This one is my substitute for cuthbertsonii, which I love. These little hybrids are way more forgiving than the species was for me.

Thats great to hear because my little cuthbertsonii died on me after flowering once. Maybe I will give this one a try.

Mountain Orchids in VT is the maker of most of these little cuthbertsonii crosses, I think.
He had a couple of varieties of Den. Illusion (cuthbertsonii x lawesii) last I checked. Same flower shape, orange or red orange coloring.
I've been after Den. Flower Baby (cuthbertsonii x victoria-reginae) for a couple of years, but they are hard to come by and pretty pricey. |
